Krook has a legitimate fastball from the left side. It has
topped out at 94 MPH and sits in the 88-92 range. He offers a little
projectability, but he’s more filled out than other Dodger draft prospects like
Trey Ball, Phil Bickford and Trey Ball.
His curveball is his best secondary offering. It flashes
plus potential at times but lacks consistency. Like most high schoolers, he’ll
need to develop a consistent third pitch to stick in the rotation. Krook’s arm
has high upside.
There’s a little bit of effort in his delivery, something
the Dodgers tend to shy away from. But they’ve also been known to correct those
kinds of flaws. Correcting his delivery could lead to increased velocity and
more consistency on his curveball.

Krook is committed to the University of Oregon. If he were
to somehow slip to the second round, I could see him being a tough sign. At
this point, he’s projected to go as high as No. 18 to the Dodgers, but more
likely in the Top 30 picks.
