On this episode of "Dugout Blues," Jared Massey (Dodger Diamond) talk about the Dodgers' first pick of the 2013 MLB Draft in Chris Anderson.We began recording about the No. 12 pick and give you instant reaction, despite it not being live. I agonize about the possibility of J.P. Crawford reaching No. 18, only to have him go to the Phillies at No. 16. We also have a little discussion about Tim Anderson, who went to the White Sox at No. 17.
I attempt to ruin the pick for Jared, because that's my style. My initial reaction is that of disappointment, but after doing more work on Anderson, I'm coming around on the pick.
We don't talk about the Tom Windle pick because I didn't feel like recording another segment for a second-round reliever.
Because this was a draft special, we don't answer any questions. We'll have a Q&A segment on tomorrow's episode, provided we get enough of them.
