Yasiel Puig is not from this world, plus a Dodgers' draft update

So, apparently Yasiel Puig is kind of good at this baseball thing. I mean, just look:

His first career grand slam. Puig is absolutely unbelieveable.

He owns a .438/.438/.1.063 triple slash with 3 home runs, 9 RBIs in four games -- and that even includes an 0-for-4 performance on Wednesday night.

Holy. God.

Oh, and Zack Greinke had his best performance as a Dodger: 7 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 7 K.

In other news, the Dodgers drafted a future reliever in the second round tonight with their selection at No. 56: Left-handed pitcher Tom Windle. I'm not at all convinced he'll be anything but a reliever, even if the Dodgers view him as a starter.

I'm already coming around on Chris Anderson a little bit, but it's going to take a lot longer for that with Windle. We'll see what happens, but I'm pretty sure the team just used the 56th overall pick on a reliever.

  1. Windle has three legit pitches with above-average potential, what makes you believe he's a reliever longterm? Concerns over his arm slot and delivery? I think the Dodgers will change his delivery up this offseason, and that the warm weather is going to do wonders to his fastball.
